List of Pet-Friendly Hotel Chains in US

Kimpton hotels: We were amazed by how pet-friendly they were. They don’t have a limit on the number of pets, and there’s no size or weight limit. They also provide a selection of hotel amenities and extras, including plush pet bed loaners in your guest room, food, water bowls, and mats, and don’t charge extra for any of it.

Motel 6: All Motel 6 hotels are happy to accommodate guests without an additional charge if they are well-behaved. Service animals are welcome without any charge. You are allowed to accommodate two dogs per room.

Red Roof: All Red Roof hotels welcome well-behaved pets. You can carry two pets there. The first pet stays free. There is a $15 per night charge for the second pet. There is also a weight limit of 80 pounds per pet. There is no additional charge for Service animals and Emotional Support Animals that come to stay with affected individuals.

La Quinta by Wyndham: Around 880 hotels in their portfolio allow dogs. There is no weight limit so you can bring your big friend. An additional pet fee can vary by location and typically ranges from $25 per night to $75 per stay.

Best Western: Another very pet-friendly hotel. They have around 1200 pet-friendly hotels in North America. Some of them have space for dogs to walk, too. Two pets are allowed in a room, but should not exceed the maximum weight limit of 80 pounds per dog. There is an additional $40 per-room pet charge. Also, you need to deposit a refundable damage deposit of $150.

Choice Hotels: There are approximately 4,100 pet-friendly hotels across the country, and our research indicates that rates vary by property. Please make sure you call them and ask about additional costs for dogs during their stay.

Marriott: One of the world’s largest hotel chains is very happy to host your pet dog. There are around 1,500 pet-friendly properties in the United States under the Marriott brand, each with a different name. Pet accommodation charges and amenities vary by property.

Hilton: Hilton has around 5000 hotels in the US and Canada that are happy to host your pet dog. Over 250 DoubleTree by Hilton properties are pet-friendly, though policies vary by location. Canopy by Hilton has over 30 pet-friendly locations. Most of these properties’ pet accommodation prices range from 50$-75$ and you have to contact them ahead to make sure there is a pet-friendly room available. Hampton and Home2Suites by Hilton are also pet-friendly and offer similar amenities, with the same rules regarding pet weight and number.

The Ritz-Carlton: Most Ritz-Carlton hotels have become pet-friendly over the years, but they are costly. For instance, Laguna Niguel allows two pets of any size in rooms for an additional fee of 350$ per pet. Pet menus are also available through room service. At the Ritz-Carlton Washington DC, dogs up to 40 lbs are allowed for an additional fee of $50 per pet, per night, plus a $125 per-stay fee. Dogs shouldn’t be left in the room unattended, and pet beds and bowls are available upon request with an additional charge.

Staypineapple: Winner of many pet-friendly hotel awards, even listed as one of the best pet-friendly hotels by Forbes. They provide special beds for the dog in your room, and there are also special treats for dogs. There is no weight or height limit for dogs.

Extended Stay America: Another pet-friendly hotel chain in the US; you are allowed to bring 2 dogs per room, but there are some height and length restrictions. Pets must be no taller than 36 inches. If it’s larger than you need, you need the property manager’s approval. A non-refundable cleaning fee of up to $25, plus tax, per pet is required for the first 6 nights. After the sixth day, the pet cleaning will be reduced to a $15 non-refundable fee (+tax) per day, per pet. This fee covers the cost of cleaning the guest room.

Four Seasons: Many Four Seasons properties offer premium accommodations for dogs, though no-charge policies are most common at locations like the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, which provides plush beds, bowls with spring water, and handmade treats for pets under 25 lbs. While the Four Seasons Chicago offers similar amenities for pets under 30 lbs, other urban hotels may charge a one-time cleaning fee, so it’s essential to confirm the specific fee structure for each hotel.

Helpful Tip: When staying at expansive resorts like Whistler or busy city centers like D.C., using a PAJ GPS tracker can give you peace of mind while your pet enjoys their specialized walking services or explores the grounds with you.
