Stolen Classic Saved Thanks to PAJ GPS

Our 50-year-old Porsche 911S Targa was stolen from a basement garage with a locked grid box in October 2023. The car had been restored over a period of three years, stored in a secure garage, and equipped with a PAJ GPS tracker.

We only discovered the theft two days later, as we don’t check the PAJ app every day. Thanks to the GPS data, we could see that the car was parked in a small town in the Netherlands, right in front of a terraced house. After a long back-and-forth (bureaucracy — things must follow their proper process), the police finally agreed to notify their Dutch colleagues.

Half an hour later, we received a call informing us that the vehicle had been secured. The stolen car had been fitted with Californian number plates and, immediately after the theft, had been auctioned off in the Netherlands to a “private buyer.”

Once we proved that the car was ours, the Dutch public prosecutor released it after ten days. When we went to collect it, the cleverly placed GPS tracker was still attached to the car. The vehicle was damaged and not drivable, but we were incredibly relieved to have it back.

Without the PAJ GPS tracker, we would never have found it again.
